The local villages of Port Logan and Portpatrick are only a few miles away and within easy reach by car. Port Logan was the set for the BBC Drama 2000 Acres of Skye. Nearby the world renowned Gardens of Logan are open to the public.
Sailing and boating are popular in the bay. Boats can be launched directly from the site. The sea fishing is amongst the best in the UK with a variety of species caught from the shore in summer.
